Effects of GABA on Electrical Activity of Spinal Ganglion Neurons in Vitro in the Toad

摘要: 在保留坐骨神经(Sc)和背根(Dr)的蟾蜍离体脊神经节制备上进行细胞内记录,用刺激Sc和(或)Dr的方法,诱发脊神经节(DRG)神经元动作电位,观察局部γ氨基丁酸(GABA)灌注对该诱发电活动的影响.结果:GABA灌注使DRG神经元动作电位的振幅显着降低,持续期与后超极化显着增强,对刺激频率的跟随能力显着降低.结果提示:GABA可能通过DRG神经元胞体GABA受体对DRG突触传递发挥抑制作用.

Abstract: Intracellular recordings were made from toad dorsal root ganglion(DRG)associated with sciatic nerve(Sc)and dorsal root(Dr)in vitro. Action potentials(AP)of DRG neurons were evoked by stimulation of Sc and(or)Dr and effects of local GABA perfusion on the evoked potentials were observed. The AP′s amplitude and duration were significantly reduced and prolonged, respectively,as the DRG was perfused with GABA solution. Its after-hyperpolarization and frequency following ability were increased and decreased, respectively under the GABA perfusion. These results indicate that GABA may exert its inhibitory role in synaptic transmission in the DRG via its receptors on the cell body of DRG neurons.
