Primary exploration of the WeChat official account operation of the Journal of Capital Medical University

Abstract: As a high-traffic portal, the WeChat official account is beneficial to the influence and the brand of university journals. Therefore, we registered and ran a WeChat official account for the Journal of Capital Medical University. During the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020,the WeChat official account provided a professional point-to-point platform and the popularity of WeChat guaranteed an increased number of user and the amount of reading. In this work, we analyzed the operation of WeChat official account and put forward some suggestion and strategy to expand the influence of university journals, and deliver knowledge more effectively with the WeChat official account.
