Abstract

Abstract: Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of the mandibular angle arc osteotomy guider in osteotomy of the introversion mandible via the intraoral approach. Methods From August 2015 to August 2017, 21 patients with prominent introversion mandible angle underwent arc osteotomy by guider. Results During follow-up from 6 months to 2 years,there were 2 patients without obvious improvements.Other patients were satisfied with the improvement of the lower facial contour. No complications occurred, including postoperative infection, facial artery rupture, mandible fracture, and inferior alveolar nerve injure. Conclusion A mandibular angle arc osteotomy guider can control osteotomy lines safely and effectively, reduce the incidence of severe surgical complications and increase patients' satisfaction.
