Abstract: This study was designed to improve the diagnosis and treatment and basic research work of PTE omnibearingly by improving recognition, standardizing the diagnosis and treatment and enhancing study. The guideline(draft) of pulmonary thromboembolism diagnosis and treatment was established, the delineation medicine, diagnostics, therapeutics, epidemiology and preclinical medicine of PTE in China were investigate and gained a series of achievements. The diagnostic and therapeutic system suited for China was established and was further generalized during the study; the delineation medicine data with large sample of Chinese was obtained and the basic databases was established; Clinic data about epidemiology of venous thromboembolism which confirmed PTE as a common disease in China also was harvested; this study also found the heredity characteristics of high coagulation in Han nationality and discovered the clinical pathological law of PTE in Chinese people. Also the normative diagnosis and treatment and basic study about PTE was enhanced and correct recognition about PTE in China was formed in the field of Chinese medical science which resulted in the diagnosis case of PTE increased more than tenfold.
