Analysis of 42 Cases with Nosocomial MRSA Infection in Lower Respiratory Tract

Abstract: The clinical data of 42 cases with nosocomial MRSA infection in lower respiratory tract were analyzed. The results showed that the patients mostly came from the wards of general ICU and neurosurgery; and nosocomial MRSA infection were closely related to operation, tracheotomy, mechanical ventilation, glucocorticoid use, unsuitable application of antibiotics and serious illness. The isolated MRSA was of multiple antibiotic resistance and easy to form mixed infection with Gram negative bacilli. The treatment of MRSA infection was difficult and it had higher mortality.
