Analysis of Death Causes for AIDS Patients

Abstract: The objective was to comprehend the current situation of death causes for the patients of Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS.)All the cases died in You′an hospital, and were analysed in the aspects of their episode progress, death progress(course), complication and treatment etc. Latent period of these patients was(8.00±5.72)years, the average death period(2.42±7.24)months. CD4+T lymphocytes counting was(31±25)/mm3, virus load(46 700±7 630)copy/mm3. Multiple opportunity infection and tumor were combined at the same time, which led to the patients death in late period. Common complications, for example pneumocystis carinii pneumonia(PCP), pulmonary tuberculosis, mouth cavity and esophago Monilia infection seldom led to death, but invaded the central nervous system,(for example tubercular meningitis, cryptococcal meningitis, and HIV encephalopathy)or accompanying severe infection. Malignancy Tumor prognosi is very bad.
