Importance of platelet function monitoring

Abstract

Abstract: Antiplatelet therapy is widely used to treat and prevent thrombosis in patients with atherosclerosis. However, sufficient no sufficient attention has been paid to the monitoring of antiplatelets. Thrombosis and bleeding event is not rare in clinical practice due to inappropriate antiplatelet therapy. This review describes the necessity and method of platelet function monitoring during antiplatelet treatment.
