Preoperative Evaluation of Hip Fractures in Aged Patients

Abstract: To discuss the estimate ways of preoperative aged patiens′with hip fracture, from 1988 to 1998, 68 patients over 75 with hip fracture were examired before operation. Their whole state induding the function of heart, lung, liver, kidney and blood pressure, anaemia, blood sugar, whole protein, eletrolyte and CO2CP and discuss the feasibility indication、anaesthesia、perioperative period were evaluated by scores. The grades of patients′whole body states were from 55 to 100, average 76.3. The operation team was from 70 to 100, average 82.8. The nonoperation team was from 55 to 75, average 66.5. The difference was statistically significant between the age team over 85 and other age teams(P<0.01). The effective rate of operation team was 75.7%. The grade of routine examination results have clinical worth for the estimation of whole state of the old patients and prognosis.
