Abstract: Objective To investigate the distribution of Alzheimer-associated neuronal thread protein(AD7c-NTP) and the coexistence of AD7c-NTP and insulin receptor in CA1 zone of hippocampus in mouse. Methods SDS-PAGE and Western blot were applied to assess the molecular weight of AD7c-NTP in the extract of protein in the brain of mouse and the specificity of the antibody of AD7c-NTP.The distribution of AD7c-NTP in CA1 zone of hippocampus in mouse was investigated with immunohistochemical methods. The coexistence of AD7c-NTP and insulin receptor was studied with double immunohistochemical staining. Results A band of about 41 000 was detected with the antibody of AD7c-NTP,which was coincided with the previous report.AD7c-NTP immunoreactive positive cells were observed in CA1 zone of hippocampus in mouse, whose cellular membrane and cytoplasm were stained.AD7c-NTP and insulin receptor were found coexisting in the same cells in CA1 zone of hippocampus. Conclusion AD7c-NTP is found in CA1 zone of hippocampus in mouse, and coexists with insulin receptor. It indicates that AD7c-NTP may have relation to with the insulin signal pathway.
