Change of cardiovascular disease risk factors in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women

Abstract: Cardiovascular disease(CVD) is the common disease that damage the health of postmenopausal women. To prevent the CVD in the postmenopausal women, the occurrence and the change of CVD risk factors in this term should be understood. Risk factors can be defined as non-modifiable and modifiable. Non-modifiable factors include age, gender and heredity. Modifiable factors include hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, glucose intolerance, cigarette smoking, diabetes mellitus and sedentarism. We reviewed the change of modifiable factors in women in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women.
