Abstract: Glioma, the most common primary intracranial malignant tumor, is characterized by high disability rate, high incidence of seizure, diverse treatment response and poor survival, keeping as one of the most incurable cancers. Leading by professor Tao Jiang, this program established the new diagnosis and treatment system by building China Glioma Multi-omics database, new standard for molecular diagnosis, classification and treatment, precisive surgical techniques. By applying this program, the gross total resection rate of gliomas in functional areas has increased to 67%, long-term dysfunction rate reduced to 3.8%. The post-operative seizure rate of gliomas in motor functional areas has reduced from 26.7% to 16.1% and the 3-year survival has increased to 22%.

Key words: brain glioma, molecular classification, diagnosis, treatment
