Clinical analysis and experience summary of large vulvar ulcers in women

Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical manifestations and differential diagnosis of large vulvar ulcers. Methods By analyzing the clinical data of 3 patients with large vulvar ulcer and literature reports, the types and clinical manifestations of large vulvar ulcers were listed for diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Results Three cases of large vulvar ulcer were diagnosed as Behcet’s disease, fixed drug rash and acute vulvar ulcer, respectively, based on clinical manifestations and laboratory examinations. They were cured after treatments. Conclusion Acute vulvar ulcer, Behcet’s syndrome, fixed drug rash, extramammary Paget’s disease, chemical burn and radiation ulcer should be considered in the cases of large vulvar ulcers. Especially the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Behcet’s disease and acute vulvar ulcer are more critical. Behcet’s disease can be diagnosed when patients have oral ulcer and vulvar ulcer.
