Abstract: To study the variation of heart rate variability and its association with QT interval dispersion in patients with acute head injury, 24 hour ambulatory electrocardiographs collected in 60 patients with in 72 h after acute head injury and 30 control subjects were analyzed in the respect of the heart rate variability of Time Domain Methods by using the DMS software. Result:①All parameters of heart rate variability were reduced in the patients with acute head injury(P<0.01).② QT interval dispersion(QTd) positively correlated with the standard deviation of the RR intervals(SDNN) in the severed patients (P<0.05).It suggests that the variation of HRV and QTd may serve as a predictor in the severed arrhythmia of patients after head injury.
