Abstract: After testing the initial empty-stomach blood sugar of 216 cases of cerebral hemorrhage in their acute stages, comparison in groups was made between those of diabetic patients, those of nondiabetes with high blood suger and those of normal level of blood sugar. The results showed that the group of blood sugar disease and the group of non diabetic disease with high blood sugar are higher to the conspicuous extent than the normal group in terms of sizes of infarction. The degree of deficiency in the nervous functions and the rate of death were higher than the group of normal blood sugar(P<0.01). The results indicates that attention should be paid to testing the changes of blood sugar during the acute stages of cerebral hemorrhage and actively controlling the blood sugar.
