Abstract: Objective To study the stability of oxygenized water and its toxicological effect on mice blood. Methods Monitoring the contents and changes of oxygen in oxygenized water prepared by simple devices on different conditions, such as different volume of water used, whether the water was ventilated ahead and whether the oxygen pressure was put on the water during the process of oxygenation;after administering oxygenized water at doses of 4 mg/kg and 2.4 mg/kg for 30 days, the mice were sacrificed to detect the related blood indexes. Results Research showed that the content of oxygen in oxygenized water was much higher if it was prepared with small quantity of ventilated water which was put on with foreign oxygen pressure during the process of preparation,in addition, the volume of water used to get oxygenized water could not only affect the initial oxygen content, but also affect the decline rate of oxygen content in oxygenized water.we also found that the oxygen content of oxygenized water would remain at high level for several days if it be preserved under sealed condition.Mice blood toxicity research showed that the values of WBC and HB reduced significantly besides other indexes(P<0.05),and the values of some indexes, such as MCH and MCHC,increase significantly when compared with the counterparts of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The content of oxygen in oxygenized water can vary on different conditions of preparation and preservation;and high dose oxygenized water has adverse effects on blood system, which will reduce the oxygen absorption in mice.
