Abstract: Objective To establish the evaluation standard of ECG in the healthy elderly. Methods The ECGs of 108 retirees aged 55~78 years old(male 47, female 61) were recorded. After inquiring about the past history and examination of representative ECGs, 29 cases were excluded, the rest 79 elderlys' ECGs were considered to be normal. The heart rate, the eletrical axis of the heart, the PR interval, the QTc interval, SV1+RV5, the changes in ST segment et al were taken as the indices for evaluation. The results were analyzed statistically. Results By screening out the heart rate, the electrical axis of the heart, the PR interval, SV1+RV5 and changes in ST segment, a standard for the evaluation of physical fitness was established. According to this standard, the items of the 79 elderly's was evaluated. Conclusion The ECG standard for the physical fitness evaluation of in healthy elderly can be established through analysis of some important ECG data.
