Analyze the Physical Examination Participation Rate of Employees Over the Age of 40 in the Medical University During the Year 2005-2008

Abstract: Objective To understand the rate of participation of the staff in physical examinations and factors affecting the rate. Methods The physical examination reports of employees over the age of 40 at Capital Medical University(CMU) during the year 2005-2008 were retrospectively analyzed and the participation rates among different departments and its overall value were compared. Results The participation rate increased gradually year by year; however, the participators' compliance decreased. The participation rate varied in different physical examinations and was affected by the employees' education background. Conclusion Improvements on the exam settings are needed in order to increase the participation rate, and the training on the importance of physical examination is needed to carry out.
