Abstract:

Objective To study the cytocompatibility of several biomaterials such as polyhydroxybutyrate-polyhydroxyvalerate(PHBV) with human fibroblast cell and provide the better materials for vascular tissue engineering. Methods The fibroblast cell were cultured on the surface of several biomaterials in vitro, then the morphological characters were observed with fluorescence microscope and cell proliferation were detected with MTT assay. In addition, the biomaterials contact angle were measured. Results In all biomaterials, PHBV's contact angle was the smallest and it's cytocompatibility is the best. Conclusion PHBV has good cytocompatibility and could be the better biomaterial for the vascular tissue engineering.
