Analysis of Risk Factors of Peripheral Artery Disease in Elder Type 2 Diabetic Patients

Abstract:

Objective To analyze the risk factors of peripheral artery disease in elder diabetic patients.Methods 240 elder type 2 diabetic patients were enrolled.Patients were divided into three groups.27 patients had not peripheral artery disease;154 had moderate peripheral artery disease;59 had severe peripheral artery diseases.The relationship between seventy of peripheral artery diseases judged by doppler ultrasonic and biochemical parameters was investigated.Results In the moderate peripheral artery disease group,peripheral artery diseases were correlated to the retinopathy.In the severe peripheral artery disease group,peripheral artery diseases were correlated to family history、TC、LDL-C、pathological changes of perpheral nerve and retinopathy.Conclusion Peripheral artery diseases in the elderly diabetic patients correlate with the course of DM and LDL-C.
