Abstract

Abstract: Department of Cell Biology in Capital Medical University was founded in 1995 as one of the earliest department in this discipline among medical universities in China. It became the Municipal Key Discipline and Municipal Key Laboratory over the following 10 years. The development of this discipline follows the path of translational medicine, using cellular and molecular biology methods to conduct research on the gene diagnosis and gene therapy for liver diseases. With the advantage of integrating basic medical research and clinical research, it has formed a distinguishing development direction and achieved progress in research, teaching and career development.
