Abstract: In this paper 220 cases of cerebral cysticerosis were reported. The CSF was examined in all patients.90 patients(40.9%)had intracranial hypertension, 123 pa tients (55.9%) had pleocytosis, although these cells were preponderantly mononuclear. 137(62.3%) had elevated protein, reaching as high as 640mg%.37 patients (16. 8%)showed glucose levels of less than 40mg%. 24 patients (10.9%) had reduced chloride content.A positive CSF PHA titer was found in 82.8%. In the majority of patients cAMP,uric acid and LDH were increased.
