Upon the basis of animal experimentation clinical application was tried with comparative observations on an experimental group of 534 cases and a co-ntrol group of 186 cases.Result disclosed that by utilizing S-99 soluble hemostatic gauze good result rate of wound healing wa sincreased by 23.5 %,post-operative bleeding rate was decreased by 10.4%, and the "alveolalgia"and infection rate was decreased by 13.1%. It can be used as a subsidiary therapeutic means in patients with larger wounds after tooth extraction, assoccated with other generalized diseases and with bleeding tendency and liability to infection
