Abstract: The mechanism of inverted anterior bite guidance is a combination of functional and mechanical apparatus,utilizing the mechanical force of the lingual spring acting on the anterior teeth, and at the same time,through the inverted bite guidance acting on the mandible causing retraction of the latte.This procedure is indicated in case of anterior crossbite,which is in normal alignment and edge to edge occlusion.Good results were obtained in twenty clinical cases. average time required was 2.5 month with the shortest 1.4 month a n the longest 4.3 month.
