Abstract:

In this study we proved that, basing on a series of chronic and acute experiments, (1) it was not the fastest element of compound action potential that was recorded first during the course of gradual increment in intensity of the stimuli. When the common peroneal nerve trunk was stimulated by square pulse, it was the element of Aβ that made its first appearence; (2) the negative square pulse with different parameters have the function of selectively exciting various A-fibers and (3) the compound action potential recorded was different, when the common peroneal nerve trunk was stimulated by the positive and negative square pulse with the same parameter.
