Abstract: Ocular rosacea is a common complication of cutaneous rosacea. The clinical manifestations are presence of erythema, papules, pustules, hypertrophy of sebaceous gland and telengiectases in the skin, nose, cheeks, and forehead. It can lead to rhinophyma in the late stage. The eyes are characterized by the presence of chronic blephritis, meibomitis and diffuse hyperemic conjunctivitis. It can develop nodular conjunctivitis, episcleritis, keratitis, etc. if the course of disease exceeds two years. This paper reported 13 cases of ocular rosacea. Female was more affected than male, usually with bilateral involvement. The condition of disease was obstinate and relapse was commonly seen. It might lead eventually to visual impairment. After the use of antiinfective agents, corticosteroid, and excision of eonjunctiva around the focus, combined with vascular cautery, a definite therapeutic effect could be achieved.
