Inflammatory Pseudotumors of the Lung:Clinical Analysis of 32 Cases

Abstract:

In this paper 32 cases of inflammatory pseudotumors of the Lungare reported.They were sclerosing hemagioma in 17 cases,histiocytomain 14 cases and plasma cell granuloma in one.Before and duringoperation,the misdiagnosis rates were 93.8% and 87.5% respectively.The definite diagnosis rates in frozen section was 23.1%(3/13).25cases(78%)were misdiagnosed for more than 3 months,with the longestbeing 12 years.The causes of misdiagnosis,the diagnosis ofinflammatory pseudotumors of the lung,and the main points of thedifferential diagnosis to pulmonary tuberculoma,peripkeral type of lungcarcinoma,pulmonary hamartoma,adenoma and localized,mesotheliomaof pleura were disscused.
