Placenta Accreta—A Clinical and Pathological Analysis Of 20 Cases

Abstract:

Placenta Accreta is an uncommon obstetrical complieation.20 Caseswere encountered in the Red-cross Chao Yang Hospital,Beijng,from1969 through 1984.The total number of deliveries were 49558 in the sameperiod.Most cases occurred between 37-42 getational weeks,only 2 casesat mid-term,Clinical menifestations were retention of placenta,fulledmanual removal of placenta and post-partum hemorrhage.Subtotalhystrectomies were performed on 17 cases.The remaining 3 cases weremanaged by manual removal of most part of the placental tissue withpreservation of uterus,Pronosis were favorable in all cases.
