Abstract: The Pathologic data of normal human kidneys were reviewed.Subjects ranged in age from 8 months to 83 years and were divided into 4 gronps on the basis of 20 years Total subjects were examinated under light microscope.12 cases totality were also studied under electron microscope Results showed that with ageing, the rate of glomerulosclerosis were increased and glomerular basement membrane were thickened, the thickness of the basement membrane of the loop of Henle were increased. We found that the number of the disklike bodies in the basement mambrane of the loop of Henle increased with age. These changes were sigmificant statistically. The latent renal changes in the elder indicated that renal function decreased with ageing.for diagnosis treatment and diet,we must consider the renal functinn in the elderly.
