Abstract: This paper reports the electrophoretic patterns of the protein compo-nents, soluble body wall antigen (SBWA), isoenzyme of Esterase (EST) and Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) of the body wall of Ascaris suum, Asearis Lumbricoids. In the somatic complex of A. suum, there were 13 bands in PAGE; 18 bands in SDS-PAGE; 10 bands in IEF stained with coomassie brilliant blue, whereas there Were 11; 15; 8 corresponding abnds in the somatic complex of A. lumbricoids. The body wall of A. suum& A. lumbricoids had isoelectric points of pH values ranging from 3.5~6.4. In IE study, at least 9 precipitate bands of anti-A. suum body wall rabbit serum (aAsBW-RS) against A.1-SBWA Were found, whereas 7 bands of aAsBW-RS against A.1-SBWA were found. The isoenzyme patterns of EST in PAGE and IEF ahowed that there were differences in the number of isoenzymeband and the Rf between A. suum & A. lumbricoids, but no di-fference in the LDH patterns in PAGE Was observed between them.
