Renal glomerular lesions in experimental hepatic cirrhosis induced by carbon tetrachloride Were studied. Morphometric method was used to measure the diameter of the glomerulus and count the number of cells in the glomerulus. The number of cells and the size of the glomerulus varied with the severity of cirrhosis and the survival period of the experimental rats. Generally, the number of cells in the glomerulus was only temporarily increased followed by decrease in the cell number. The size of the glomerulus showed no change in precirrhotic stage and became enlarged after cirrhosis was formed. The enlagement of the glomerulus in the later stage of cirrhosis was due to thickening of the basement membrane and increase in the amount of mesangial matrix. Granular electron-dense deposits Were seen in the capillary basement membrane and mesangial matrix of the glomerulus. Glomerular capillary wall and mesangial matrix deposits of IgG was demonstrated by PAP immuno-histochemical method.

This paper describes the fuzzy matrices in medical fuzzy relationship and its operation composition. Indicated that composition to n powers of a fuzzy matrix R having reciprocity, symmetry is increased and its limitR has the same characteristic and transitivity, so the cluster analysis can be carried out. At last, the computer program of x fuzzy cluster analysis with maximal tree method of cut-matrix and some examples in medicine were demonstrated.

The kind and chemistry component of cells in decidual tissue of human early pregnancy has been studied by many histochemical methods. There are two kind of cells in the decidua tissue: big cell and small cell. They are almost equal in quantity. There are rich in glycogen, Lipid, Lipase, Nse, G-6-Pase, AP, SDH, 3-β-HSDH and AKP in the cytoplasm of big cells. Big cells contain more chemical components. There are ACP and ATPase in the cytoplasm of small cells. some of the small cells contain acid mueopolysaccharide, only about 21 percent of small cells contain granule. The small cells of not contain granule will be studied further. According to our study it seems that big cells are same in morphology and many kind of function, while the small cells are different both in morphology and function.

The experiments were carried out on awoke and immobilized rabbits. Following cerebral ischemia produced by stimulation of the superior cervi-cal sympathetic ganglion, the P Wave's amplitude of bilateral evoked cor-tical potentials was clearly reduced and EEG occurred clear abnormal changes. The results indicated that the amplitude of wave P and EEG seems to be susceptive to ischemia and may be used as monitory indicate of ce-rebral ischemia. The changes of cerebral function produced by stimutaling unilateral superior cerical sympathetic ganglion may be used as pattern of cerebral ischemia.

The total flavonoids content in the extract of bluish dogbane was de-terminated by spectrophotometic technic. The total flavonoids content of Waterls extract, alcohol's extract and alcohol's insoluble part of bluish dogbane from Xinjiang are 2.85% 7.99% and 0.28% respectively and that of the waterls extract of bluish dogbane from Jiangsu is 4.9%. The CV of the measurements Was 1.09%, 0.94% and 0.63%. The mean recovery was 97.4%.

Phycobiliprotein, which is a new natural edible pigment extracted from fresh laver. In order to insure the safety of food, we carried out LD50 of rats and mice per oral, micronucleus test in mice bone marrow, analy-sis of spermatocyte chromosome aberration in mice testes, Ames test, and 30-day feeding test was performed on weanling wistar rats. The re-sults showed that the acute toxicity of the pigment were very low. No statistical significant difference was detected in the Ames test, micro-nucleus test and analysis of testis chromosome aberration between the ex-perimental groups and the control group. Mutagenicity was not discovered. The study indicates that phycobiliprotein is a safe promising natural edible pigment.

This paper reports the electrophoretic patterns of the protein compo-nents, soluble body wall antigen (SBWA), isoenzyme of Esterase (EST) and Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) of the body wall of Ascaris suum, Asearis Lumbricoids. In the somatic complex of A. suum, there were 13 bands in PAGE; 18 bands in SDS-PAGE; 10 bands in IEF stained with coomassie brilliant blue, whereas there Were 11; 15; 8 corresponding abnds in the somatic complex of A. lumbricoids. The body wall of A. suum& A. lumbricoids had isoelectric points of pH values ranging from 3.5~6.4. In IE study, at least 9 precipitate bands of anti-A. suum body wall rabbit serum (aAsBW-RS) against A.1-SBWA Were found, whereas 7 bands of aAsBW-RS against A.1-SBWA were found. The isoenzyme patterns of EST in PAGE and IEF ahowed that there were differences in the number of isoenzymeband and the Rf between A. suum & A. lumbricoids, but no di-fference in the LDH patterns in PAGE Was observed between them.

151 cases of Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), including4autopsies, Were analized. The therapeutic problem of GBS were discussed in detail. The application of steroids did not get mush special effect for the treat-ment in the acute stage of GBS, and side effects of steroids, were seriously marked. It was emphasized that the main therapeutic way for the cases of GBS with weakness of respiratory muscles was bronchotomy in time and artificial respiration. Meanwhile, careful nursing is necessary.

The establishment of an immunoenzyme stain assay for screening mo-noclone antibody against chlamydia trachomatis is described. The results of the method in detecting monoclone antibody in culture supernants and ascitic fluids were basically the same as those by RIA and IFA. The method is simple, specific and rapid, and is suited for micro samples and particulate antigens. The prospects for using the method in diagnosis of eye diseases are discussed.
