Abstract: 72 adult male rats were divided into 2 groups, i. e. control group and D-galactosamine administration group. The thyroids were removed at different time intervals (1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 days) after injecting D-galactosamine, and then stained with histochemical and immunohistochemical PAP method. The findings were as follows. On the first to 3 rd day after injecting D-galactosamine, the lumen of the follicles were enlarged, follicular epithelial cells became short, the amount of colloid deposits were increased. Except the ATPase, the reac-tions of RNA, ACP, SDH, G6PDH and PO Were Weaker than those of the control group. Both of the amount of colloid droplets and the Immunoreaction substances of T3 and T4 declined. Although on the 5 th day, all of the indexes increased, they returned to normal level after 7 days. The results were suggested that the changes of the thyroid follicles following injecting D-galactosamine were closely related to the iniury and the regeneration process of liver.
