Abstract: This paper reports the proteins and isoenzyme paterns of esterase (EST) and lactate dehdrogenase (LDH) of the human and hog cerbral cysticerci. The cystic fluid of the human and hog cysticerci gave 10 and 9 bands by PAGE respectively, and the main bands in the human were 2 and in the hog only 1. The scolex-cyst Wall of two species of hosts displaied 18 and 16 bands with similar patterns by PAGE. 12 bands appeared in the cystic fluid of muscle of the hog, but only 2 appeared in that of the human having migratory rates distinctively differences with that of the former. The cystic fluid from two species of hosts gave 4 LDH bands with slightly differences of migration and 1 EST band with identical patterns. The scolex-cyst wall of two species of hosts displaied 2 LDH bands and 3 EST bands with different rates of migration. We compared the activities of LDH and EST at the same time.
