Abstract:

This report presents the results of right ventricular function of pati-ents with chronic cor pulmonale using 113mIn in equilibrium method by gamma cardiac function device. The results demenstrate that the right ve-ntricular ejection fraction(RVEF) in 5 normal subjects is 50.8±7.9%, RVEF in 7 patients in clinically compensated stage of heart function is 57±3.5% and in 24 patients with heart failure Ⅰ°is 43±4.3%, in 12 pati-ents with heart failure Ⅱ°is 33±7.2%, in 8 patients with heart failure Ⅲ°is 28±0.5% and in 7 patients with the type of the serious heart fai-lure(more severe than heart failure Ⅲ°) is 14±2.7%. Except for compensa-ting heart function group, other groups are significantly different from that of normal group(p<0.05 or p<0.01). Our results suggest that gamma cardiac function device be used to assess heart dysfunction of patients with chronic cor pulmonale in various stages and to be reference for heart function graduation.
