Abstract: There were the inert IUD on the right uteru of the rats and without IUD on the left. Histochemical changes of the endometrium of the rats with IUD as follows: the activity of Gly and AKP increased, but G6Pase, NSE and SDH decreased in the endometrium of the rats with IUD during the estrus and the 6th day of pregnancy. 3-β-HSDH, ACP, and Lipid increased during the estrus. 3-β-HSDH, ACP, Lipid decreased during the 6th day of pregnancy. These results suggested that IUD had influenced normal metabolism of endometrium of the rats with IUD. It may be the mechanism for IUD to impede the implantation
