Abstract: In an effort to ascertain the prevalence of obesity and thiness in young children, 3070 healthy pupils, age 6～12 years, were surveyed. The family income, the extent of parenl educated and the childrens＇eredit in the school showed no siganificant difference among obese and thin pupils. These data indicate that the prevalance rate of obesity and thinness were 5.8 percent and 4.2 percent separately.
