Abstract: Hemolymph was collected from female Aedes albopictus by centrifugation. Collections were made from newly emerged mosquitoes, 4days and 11 days after mosquitoes had taken blood meal from Plasmodium gallinaceum-infected and noninfected chicks The result shows that the total amount of free amino acids (FAAs) in hemolymph of female Ae albopictus decreases 4days after blood meal and increases 11 days after the same meal, but is still less than that of newly emerged mosquitoes. The decrease of 16 FAAs and increase of 2FAAs were shown in the hemolymph of mosquitoes 4days after noninfected blood meal, the decrease of 3FAAs and increase of 15 FAAs were shown 11 days after the same meal. The decrease of 14 FAAs and increase of 4FAAs were shown in hemolymph 4days after infected blood meal, the decrease of 7 FAAs and increase of 11 FAAs were shown 11 days after the same meal.
