Abstract: Conventional lateral temporamandibular joint tomography does not show real lateral image of candyle generally due to the complexity of anatomical structures and more tissues overlapping. However, corrected tomography can be used to compensate the shortcomings of conventional tomography. This article mainly introdues the theary of corrected tomography and the comparative observation of three differant films of TMJ,Shullor's position, conventional tomography and corrected tomography films, for 23 cases of TMJDS by using corrected tomography. The result indicates it has certain advantages in showing variations of condyle.
