Abstract: In this paper, the results of CSAg Dot-ELISA and IEST with frozen section of cysticerus cellulosae as antigesn in the diagnosis neurocysticercosis were compared.Positive rales of CSAg,CWAg Dot-ELISAand IESTwere 94.6% (53/56),96.4% (54/56) and 98.2%(55/56) respectively. No cross-reaction was observed with sera from cases oFconorchiasis and paragonimiasis, while none of the 50 serum samples from normal controls was found positive.CSAg,CWAg Dot-ELISA and IEST with serum specimens from echinococcosis were 40.9% (9/22),22.7%(5/22) and 18.1%(4/22) respectively. The results showed both Dot-ELISA and IEST with frozen sections as antigens in the diagnosis of neurocysticercosis were considered to be of higher sensitivity and specificity.
