Abstract: The antiaging effect of abstracted juice of lycium chinense in vitro and in vivo were studied. The result showed that the LPO product in homogeneous liver of mouse was inhi-bited by the juice in vitro with dose-response effect; The LPO product in liver of mouse de-creased significantly and the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in plasma of mouse increased sig-nificantly; The LPO product in plasma of old people decreased obviously and the activity of GSH-Px in plasma increased, but the activity of SOD decreased in old people. These results implied that the abstracted juice of lycium chinense has the obvious antiaging effect.

Key words: antiaging, lycium chinense, lipid peroxides, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase
