Abstract: The hydrolysis of Iron (Ⅲ)-tremella fuciformis polysaccharide complex (ITC) was stu-died at pH values ranging from 4 to 12 and no precipitates were observed so that it may have better bioavailability. Intravenously injecting to the rats, its elimination kinetic was found to be the first order and one compartment model. ITC exhibtied higher absorption, smaller elimination and longer duration of high serum iron concentration than that of FeSO4 when rats were fed with ITC and FeSO4, respectively. The bioavailability of ITC was 72% which was 0. 5 times higher than that of FeSO4.
