Abstract: The present study firstly adopted the technique of HRP intracellar injection to the spinal dorsal horn of rats and thereby provided information regarding the microarchitecture of the SST-DCPS neurons.Three SST-DCPS neurons with intact structure were intracellu-larly stained in deeper laminae of the dorsal horn following intracellular recording. Two of them were respectively spindle and triangle shaped locating in the laminae Ⅵ.Their dendri-tic trees were classified as type D according to Bennet et al.The other was found in the lam-inae V.Its somata was ellipse in form and its dendrites distributed like type B.

Key words: intracellular recording, intracellular staining, doubly projecting spinal neurons, method of HRP
