Abstract: Degeneration was made in 12 adult rats to study the course and projections of the ros-tral spinocerebellar tract (RSCT),after unilateral lesions in the C5~8 spinal segments. The re-sults show that degeneration fibers of the RSCT originated from the cervical enlargement as-cend ipsilaterally in the lateral funiculus of the ccervical cord, enter the cerebellum via the in-ferior and superior cerebellar peduncles, project bilaterally to the anterior lobe and the Ⅳ~ Ⅸ lobules of the posterior lobe of the cerebellum, with concentration in the ⅪⅠ Ⅲ~Ⅴ and Ⅷ lobules. The degeneration fibers appear in the granualar layer of the cerebellar cortex. In ad-dition,the degeneration fibers can also be seen in bilateral fastigial and interposed nuclei.
