Abstract: We observed that Mycobacterial polysaccharides(MPS)had effects on the mice's leucocytopenia caused by cyclophosphamide(CP). We injected CP to the mice's abdominal cavities to make a leucocytopenia model. In experimental groups, the second day after the injection with CP,the mice were given MPS with 5 or 25 μg/mouse.d-1 for four days and the leukocytes were examined every other day.In comparison with the control groups, the experimental mice had a lower rate of leucocytopenia and recovered rapidly from it. The data reveals that MPS have functions on inhibiting the mice's leucocytopenia caused by CP and on promoting the recovery of leukocyte.
