A Study on the Anatomic Relationship between Parotid Gland with its Duct and Extracranial Section of Facial Nerve in Chinese

Abstract:

Based on the anatomic observation and measurement of the extracranial section of facial nerve taken from 88 sides cadavers, the facial nerve is divided into two parts:anteromandibular and posteromandibular portions. Making clear that: ① The location,course and neighboring relationship of the main trunk, the primary branches-the temporofacial and cervicofacial,and the branches of intra-glandular and extra-glandudar sections. ②The relationship between parotid duct and superobuccal and inferobuccal branches.③ The practical marks with which to seek for the extracranial section of facial nerve.
