Abstract: The optical density measurement of the succinate dehydrogenase histochemical staining sections of ischemic myocardium with 680 nm of spectrophotometer was made. The result indicated that if the duration of ischemia was more than 15 min,the enzymatic activity showed prominent decrease. This method raised definitely the diagnostic sensitivity for succinate dehydrogenase activity as compared with the mere morphological method.
