The Influence of Chinese Herbal Medicine Ovulatory Decoction Upon the Number of Blastocysts in Albino Mice

Abstract:

The female albino mice in the fertile period were used in this study. After being fed with chinese herbal medicine ovulatory decoction,they were coupled during the estrus.The animals were killed in the 8th day after fertilization.The uters were dissected and the blastocysts were counted.The number of blastocysts in those mice given a dose of medicine in correspondance with the dose for human being was significautly increased as compared with the control group(P<0.05).Increasing the dosage did not improve the effectiveness and medicine shoued no toxicity,even the dose was increased by 50 times.The results proved that this chinese herbal medicine is quite effective and safe for enhancemet of fertile function.
