Comparative Study on Body Weight and Fat-reducing Effects of Double-reducing Decoction (Shuang Jiang Tang )and Fenfluramine in Rat

Abstract: The body weight and fat-reducing effects of double-reducing decoction and fenfluramine was investigated.The results indicated that double-reducing decoction is good for body weight and fat reducing in rat.It can lower body weight after two days of treatment.This effect continued for 90 days until the experiment was over.It can also lower the levels of serum cholesterol, triglycericles and β-lipoprotein.Its effects are better than that of fenfluramine.Double-reducing decoction is high effective, nontoxic and is better than fenfluramine.
