An Applied Anatomical Study of Infralabyrinthine Approach

Abstract: Nineteen Chinese skulls with 38 temporal bones and 6 seperate temporal bones were observed and measured,the data of which provided the relationship among the structures of inner ear and mastoid for decompression of endolymphatic sac and neurotomy of infralabyrinthine vestibular nerve in clinical practice. It also suggested that attention should be paid to the variation of sigmoid sinus and jugular fossa during operation.
