Abstract: 94 cases with deep located intracranial lesions were treated with high dose stereotactic fractionated rediotherapy by X-knife. Following up was 4~38 months, mean 24.1 months. Therapeatic evaluation was excellent with the autocontrol of pre post irradation. The shrink ratio of the lesions was 50.55%,the coutrol ratio 38.46%,and the clinical sign improvement ratio 89.01%. The complications, such as nausea, vomiting, lethargy paralysis of cranial nerve, tinnitus and mental symptom were found in 13% cases. This is a first report either in our nation or even in the world on such long term following up study of such a big group patients with deep located intracranial lesions after high dose fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy by X-knife and the author tried to analysed the causes and proventions of the complications.
