The Treatment of Subclavian Artery Stenosis or Occlusion

Abstract: Surgical treatment of stenosis or occlusion of subclavian artery in 38 patients was reported. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty was used in 24 patients. Bypass graft was used in 14 patients. Preliminary results of the two methods are similar. The two years patencies were 66.7% and 72.7% respectively. PTA and bypass surgery are two effective methods for treating the stenosis or occlusion of subclavian artery.
